Emily starts her Saturday mornings with ballet class. For the next five weeks, she'll be doing a quick change from her cute little ballet dress and ballet shoes into a t-shirt and shin guards, as she started soccer this weekend. To make it more interesting, Daddy is one of her coaches. We were pretty impressed at Emily's ability w the soccer ball. We didn't think she'd be that agile w it, but she actually has great control of the ball. She had a good time, but broke down into tears a few times as she couldn't understand why Daddy, aka Coach, wouldn't pick her up and was paying attention to other children. Prior to practice, which was our first, Daddy said he couldn't believe that he was stressing out about coaching a bunch of 3 & 4 year olds. He did a great job tho and several of the parents came up to him after practice and told him what a great time it was. Yeah!!
On Sunday, we met my mom, my sisters and their kids at an apple orchard. This is my absolute favorite time of the year, and I always look forward to going to the orchard to stock up on cider, apple cider donuts and Honey Crisp apples! I've been going to the same orchard for years, and unfortunately it's gotten very commercialized in the last couple of years. It no longer has that old family charm. Regardless, it still is a "must" for fall, and I anticipate we'll be going back, if not there, then some other orchards, several more times this year. Unfortunately, no pics this time as 1) I forgot my camera; and 2) poor Emily got bit by a mosquito last nite right above her eye. It wasn't so bad last nite, but today it's been swollen shut, and Benedryl hasn't done too much to help. I don't think she'd appreciate her mommy posting a picture of her in this state (altho she probably won't appreciate the fact that I posted a picture of her with her mouth wide open in the dental chair either!).

Emily is so cute in her Soccer uniform. She looks like she is really comfortable on the field. So great that R is able to coach.
Em will appreciate that in years to come.
Hugs
Sounds like weekends are going to be busy for all three of you!! Hope the good weather continues for the rest of those soccer games.Funny that DH was stressing about coaching!
Great news about her teeth being just fine! And that her first visit went so well!
